Cat Radiator Beds For The Winter

Cat Radiator Beds For The Winter

Keeping your cats warm with cat radiator beds will keep them happy, as well. There are lots of ways to keep them warm, but this will probably be a favorite.

When left out in the rain, they will search and search for a warm, safe spot. One that is dry and quiet, if they can possibly find that. Nothing will compare to being inside, where it is safe and warm, but sometimes they have to settle for going under the house instead of inside it. They do what they need to do to survive.

These radiator beds hang over the radiators in your home. Some are made to fit over flat style radiators and others are great for the ribbed kind. And the way they fit can be adjusted to the size of the heater or to the size of the kitty.

The frame of the bed is covered by fabric, either fleece or some other soft plushy cloth. And it comes in a variety of colors and patterns. The fabric is usually short or flat so that not much hair is attracted to it. It may have a zipper for removal, and then you can wash it, as well. It could have the shape of a cradle or flat for your cat to lie down on. He will probably snuggle into it, either way.

And your bigger cat can enjoy this comfort, too. It is sturdy enough for him, so that when he jumps on it, it will stay put for him. He needs a comfy place, too, after all. These beds are not just for the small cat.

If you do not have a radiator, there are other means to keep the kitty warm. An infrared heated pet bed can be plugged into the wall, and you may put a fleecy fabric or towel over it so that it gets warm, and he will love this. There are also self-heating pads, and they come in sizes small, medium and large. These heat up along with the animal.

There are also other types of pet heaters, such as those found in kennels, and again, you would need to cover them with a towel or other soft fabric to keep the pet heated. They are also fine for the home, and they have an element that maintains a certain set temperature. They are also waterproof, although they should never be submerged into water. And then there is the microwavable pet bed that can be used out of doors, as well as indoors. You just pop them in the microwave for a few minutes and they will stay warm for up to 12 hours. It comes with a fleece covering.

Your cat probably loves being held in your arms the best. And your lap is also a favorite spot. But if you try the cat radiator beds, you will see that this can become a favorite spot for him, too.
