How To Get Rid Of Head Lice
Have you noticed your kids scratching their heads a lot? Or perhaps you might have noticed red marks on their neck and head? These are all telltale signs of head lice.
Kids are the ones that usually get this. This is because they are in an environment with many other kids at school, which makes it easy to transfer the head lice. When kids share hats and combs, the head gets transferred.
If you can help it, prevent the head lice from happening. This means do not share combs, hats, or any other article of clothing.
For those who have head lice, you should buy a head lice killing shampoo. The shampoos are basically just mild pesticides for getting rid of head lice. The shampoos should not affect you negatively since there is not a large amount of pesticide.
You should also use a head lice comb and go through your hair carefully. You need to remove not only the head lice but also their eggs.
Put all your clothes, and other fabrics that you had contact with in the washer. Wash and dry your clothes on high heat. This should get rid of the head lice.
If you have clothing or other things that cannot be washed, just put it in a sealed plastic bag. Eventually the head lice that are hidden in these things will die from starvation.
Clean your house and check places where your head might have touched. These places would include the furniture that you used.
Sometimes head lice are hardy and the shampoo may not be enough to kill them. If that is the case, get the prescription medication which is much stronger.
When you are using the medications and strange symptoms develop, then you should discontinue use of the product and see your doctor.
