Slaughter’s Big Ripoff: A murderer is still playing games with the Mob in this dull actioner. McMahon gives more effort to his role as the mob boss than it merits. The Big Road: This movie is about a shy busboy who commits himself to a selfish nightclub singer. The film is abnormal (and oddly watchable), with extremely unorthodox roles for both Fonda and Ball. Cast includes Henry Fonda, Lucille Ball, Barton Mafamilye, Eugene Pallette, Agnes Moorehead, Sam Levene, Ray Collins, Hans Conried, and Ozzie Nelson. (88 minutes, 1942)
Boots Malone: Holden comes to life in the role of a gloomy personality who reforms while he trains Stewart to become a jockey. Cast includes William Holden, Johnny Stewart, Ed Begley, Harry Morgan, and Whit Bissell. (103 minutes, 19852)
The Indian Fighter: Stimulating account of Douglas leading wagon train through rampaging Indian nation. A powerful western with a storng cast. Cast includes Kirk Douglas, Walter Matthau, Elsa Martinelli, Walter Abel, and Lon Chaney. (88 minutes, 1955)
Day of Wrath: Remarkably well put together drama in regards to an old lady implicated of being a sorcerer and the hex that she sets on the minister who is accountable for her flaming. Cast includes Thorkild Roose, Lisbeth Movin, Sigrid Neiiendam, Preben Lerdorff, and Anna Svierker. (100 minutes, 194)
The Search for One-Eyed Jimmy: Oddball tale of a documentary fiImmaker, just out of college, who returns to his old Brooklyn community and finds cinematic encouragement as his camcorder follows the track of a missing local low life. Cast includes Samuel L. Jackson, Steve Buscemi, Michael Badalucco, Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, Anne Meara, Jennifer Beals, Nicholas Turturro, Aida Turturro, Holt McCaIIany, Sam Rockwell, and Tony Sirico. (82 minutes, 1996)
Gypsy Girl: Gypsy Girl is a brooding account of backward Hayley Mills finding her first romance with McShane exciting yet unstable. Cast includes Hayley Mills, Ian McShane, Laurence Naismith, and Geoffrey Bayldon. (102 minutes, 1966)
Shadowlands: Poignant, prudent, peacefully gratifying drama in regards to British author C. S. Lewis (Ackland), a verified bachelor, and how he is changed while he falls in love with American divorcee Bloom. Quality work is done by the megastars utilizing an outstanding award caliber script by William Nicholson. Cast includes Joss Ackland, Claire Bloom, David Waller, and Rupert Baderman. (90 minutes, 1985)
